Vinification Bruzzico is our IGT wine produced from 30-year-old vines and is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Sangiovese grapes. Fermentation and break-up occur in stainless steel tanks at a temperature between 28°C and 30°C. This procedure lasts for around 18 days. During this period, pumping over and délestages alternate twice a day.
Ageing Sangiovese is aged in 20 hl new oak barrels, while Cabernet Sauvignon refines separately in medium-toasted barriques, for approximately 16 months in total. The bottle ageing period successively lasts for about 12 months once the wine is bottled.
ORGANOLEPTIC ANALYSIS
Color: Very intense ruby red
Nose: Aromas of great intensity, persistence, and complexity. Fruity notes of blackberries, such as blueberry, predominate, accompanied by pleasant hints of jam. Pleasant spicy and slightly balsamic notes make the aromatic complex extremely rich, broad, and elegant.
Taste: A wine with great structural complexity and refined tannins. It combines power and elegance, in an excellent structure and a perfect balance between acidity and tannins. Harmonious and rounded, with a long, persistent finish.
